Solar PV Installation
Kenya
Aspectus Kenya delivers industrial-grade off-grid solar solutions tailored to heavy consumers — lowering operating costs and improving reliability.
Aspectus Kenya partnered with the University of Nairobi to design and install a compact 3 kWp grid-tied solar PV system on a faculty building rooftop. The system was specified to lower electricity expenditure, demonstrate campus-scale sustainability, and provide an easy-to-maintain renewable energy source for offices and small laboratories.
The project scope included site assessment and shading analysis, system design (module layout and electrical balance of system), supply of high-quality PV modules and a string inverter, mounting hardware, installation, commissioning and performance monitoring setup. Aspectus also provided a short handover training session for campus facilities staff to support operations and basic maintenance.
Within the first months of operation the 3 kWp system delivered consistent on-site generation and helped the University of Nairobi reduce its electricity costs for the served building by approximately 20%. The installation also improved daytime reliability for office loads and created a visible campus example of practical renewable energy deployment. Aspectus continues to support monitoring and offers options for scaling the system across additional buildings.
